Day 1: Hearty Welcome to Kenya!
A warm welcome awaits you upon your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport , My Holiday Club representative will be waiting for you at the exit.
We will depart immediately for the campsite at Lake Elementeita, where we will be staying on Day 1. This lovely soda lake is home to a huge variety of birdlife. A relaxed afternoon will be followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Driving time from Lake Nairobi to Lake Elementeita: 2.5 hours
Day 2: Day trip to the Flamingo Heaven at Lake Bogoria
Enjoy a lovely breakfast at your hotel, before we proceed to the greatest Flamingo heaven in the world. Lake Bogoria is a volcanic lake that shoots hot water almost 100 feet in the air with its many geysers and hot springs. This saline and soda ash lake is home to almost a million Flamingo who use this as a nesting site.
We will spend approximately 4 hours here visiting different hot springs and enjoy the fantastic sighting of the flamingoes completely with a picnic lunch.
Return back to the camp at Lake Elementeita, in time for tea followed by dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3: Onward to Masai Mara
After a hearty breakfast, we will depart for the exciting Masai Mara National Reserve.
The enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular wildebeest migrations. It is also known as the home to the big five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. We will arrive in time for lunch at the camp. Post lunch, we will depart for an afternoon game drive to see the game of Savannah, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Game Drive: The afternoon game drive is approximately 3 hours long, and is conducted between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Safari vans with pop-up roofs will be used for game drives.
Day 4: Masai Mara: Full day game drive
A relaxed rise followed by a hearty breakfast and a full day game drive to see the varied game of Masai Mara. Short stop for a picnic lunch while exploring Kenya’s most popular sanctuary. Optional visit to a local Maasai village can also be arranged. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the lodge.
Game Drive: The full day game drive begins at 8:00 am and we return to the lodge at 3:00 pm. The game drive is approximately 7 hours long. Lunch is packed for all guests from the lodge itself and we make a quick picnic stop during the safari. Safari vans with pop-up roofs will be used for game drives.
Optional visit to the Maasai Village: You can opt for an optional visit to a local Maasai village to experience the local culture of Kenya. The visit lasts approximately 2 hours but can be extended depending upon the guests.
Day 5: Onward to Nairobi
We depart from Masai Mara after breakfast and head to Nairobi. Upon arrival we will be transferred to the hotel for a prompt check-in. The hotels are located in an Indian suburb of Westlands. The hotel is located next to two shopping malls: the Nakumatt Ukay Centre and the Westgate Mall. You are free to spend time exploring the malls and stop for lunch on your own. Lunch and dinner are not provided in Nairobi.
Day 6: Board the Home Flight
A relaxed rise followed by breakfast at 9:00 am and check out from the hotel to leave for Jomo Kenyatta Airport, for your flight back home after an exciting safari trip in Kenya!
