Itinerary Details
Day1. Delhi-Haridwar (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)
Arrive in New Delhi and straight away drive to Haridwar. En route get the biometric done for your ek dham yatra. Upon reaching Haridwar, check-in at your booked hotel.
Haridwar is counted among the holiest places in India. Later, in the evening enjoy the Ganga Arti (the river worship ceremony on the ghats of River Ganga) at Har kI Pauri. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day2. Haridwar-Guptkashi (205 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)
On the second day of your Kedarnath Yatra, take breakfast and leave for Guptkashi by road. Do not miss the most popular tourist attractions in Guptakashi, the Vishwanath temple, Ardhnareshwar temple and Manikarnik Kund.
Guptkashi is the main stop, on route to your ek dham yatra. Further, you check-in at a hotel in Guptkashi. In the mean time get you medical check-up done for your onward journey. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day3. Guptkashi-Gaurikund-Kedarnath (35 Km + 17 Km trek)
On the third Day of your Kedarnath Yatra by road, post an unhurried breakfast and drive to Gaurikund. Further, from Gaurikund you start your trek to Kedarnath temple.
Gaurikund is the main base to your ek dham yatra. Also, it is believed that if you take a dip in the sacred bathing places of Gaurikund all your past sins disappear. With the continuous chants of ‘Jai Bholenath’ begin your trek either on a palki or a horse or just walk on your own.
Throughout your trek, you come across various mountains and lush green jungles; making the Kedarnath Yatra more thrilling. You can also see the divine Mandakini River, which is originated from Chorabari glacier (near Kedarnath). On your arrival, after long trek relax in the government camps/cottages (you are provided with). Take your food and stay overnight in the camp.
Day4. Kedarnath-Gaurikund-Guptkashi (17 Km trek + 35 Km drive)
On the fourth day, you must get-up early in the morning around 4:45 am; particularly to attend the ‘Abhiskek ceremony’ to Lord Shiva. Offer sincere prayers, touch the feet of the Lord and rebuild your faith. Thereafter, get back to the camp. Start your return trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund. Further, on reaching Gaurikund check-in at a pre-booked hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day5. Guptkashi-Rishikesh-Haridwar (205 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)
On fifth day of the tour, you head to Rishikesh by road. Rishikesh is the base for char dham yatra and is listed among the sanctified destinations of India.
The major attractions in Rishikesh are the two hanging bridges- Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. You can also take part in camping, trekking or rafting (in Holy River Ganges and Shivpuri).
Moreover, attend yoga sessions at various yoga centers. Pay sincere prayers at temples of Rishikesh such as Nilkanth Mahadev, Kunjapuri temple and enjoy evening Arti on the Ghats of Ganga.
Thereafter in the evening, you drive back to Haridwar. Check-in at a hotel and stay overnight.
Day6. Haridwar-Delhi (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)
On sixth and last day of the tour, have your breakfast and head to Delhi by road. Upon reaching Delhi, drive to Delhi airport/ Delhi train station for your onward destination.
