Tawang Trek

Destination Covered : Bhaulkpong - Assam - Dirang - Tawang - Pohjola - Shanyin - Tsongatser - Kongpo - Bomdila - Guwahati
Day 1 - Guwahati Airport to Bhalukpong - Assam - Arunachal Border (241.4 km / 4 hours 31 mins)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and start your journey to Bhalukpong. Overnight stay is arranged in Bhalukpong.
Day 2 - Bhalukpong to Dirang (138.9 km / 4 hours 19 mins)
After a hearty breakfast, head to Dirang after getting the inner line permits checked. En route, take a view of Bomdila and reach the valley of Dirang. Stay overnight comfortably, in Dirang.
Day 3 - Dirang to Tawang (128.8 km / 4 hours 22 mins)
Relish a delicious breakfast and cross the valley of Dirang, as you head to Tawang through Sela Pass, located at a height of 14000 ft. above sea level. Also, visit and pay homage to the war memorial of Captain Jaswant Singh. If time permits, after reaching Tawang, visit the 2nd largest Buddhist monastery. Overnight stay is arranged in Tawang.
Day 4 - Tawang to Trek Point Kharman (4000 m)
After a tummy-filling breakfast, leave for the trek for which the start point is Kharman village. Enjoy the natural beauty and from Kharman, head to Sana Jaria. Overnight stay is arranged in Sana Jaria.
Day 5 - Sana Jaria to Pohjola
Relish your breakfast and start for a trek from Sana Jaria. Climb towards Japo Rilo and reach Pohjola. Enjoy an overnight stay at the tent in Pohjola.
Day 6 - Pohjola to Shanyin
After breakfast, start from Pohjola and begin the trek. Enjoy the flora and fauna and have lunch. Proceed to Shanyin and on the way, take a view of the snow-capped mountains, red panda and conifer forests. Overnight stay is arranged in Shanyin.
Day 7 - Shanyin to Tsongatser
Enjoy a wholesome breakfast and start the trek from Shanyin, via Lhangchenkang (Taktsang Gompa - the oldest settlement of Monpa tribe) and reach Tsongatser Lake which is also known as the Madhuri Lake. Overnight stay is arranged at Tsongatser Lake.
Day 8 - Tsongatser to Kongpo
After a delectable breakfast, start the trek down to Tsongatser Lake to Kongpo and experience the breath-taking views of lakes and mountains. Stay in Kongpo overnight.
Day 9 - Kongpo to Kharman - Drive to Tawang
After a hearty breakfast, start moving from Kongpo to Kharman from where you will drive to Tawang. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay is arranged at Tawang.
Day 10 - Tawang to Bomdila (170.2 km / 5 hours 46 mins)
Enjoy a wholesome breakfast and experience the beautiful trek as you start the return journey from Tawang to Bomdila, via Dirang valley. Overnight stay is arranged in Bomdila.
Day 11 - Bomdila to Guwahati (337.9 km / 7 hours 26 mins)
Relish a sumptuous breakfast and after lighting butter diyas at Bomdila Gompa, head to Guwahati. Overnight stay is arranged in Guwahati.
Day 12 - Tour Ends
After a delectable breakfast, drive to the airport and the tour ends here
