This quaint and pretty hill station has a deep-rooted cultural background since it is where the Warli tribe resides. The Warli paintings, a traditional craft of this tribe has achieved fame far and wide for its unique designs and unusual themes. These designs are now replicated on different products even outside this region.
Attractions: Jawhar’s attractions include the tribal heritage tour where one gets to view the ancestral residence of the tribal people and their customs. There are a number of well-known ancient temples, waterfalls and viewpoints in here. Jai Vilas Palace and Bhupatghad Fort are small monuments with a historic connect. There are also a few water reservoirs in Jawhar that are located at attractive places and are frequented by tourists for picnics.
