Attractions: Beach lovers will not run short of places to head to since the Ganapatipule Beach, Anjarle Beach and Guhagar Beach are positioned quite close to Ratnagiri. A fort standing on top of a hill and enveloped by the sea on three sides, Bhagwati Fort or Ratnadurga, is perfect for a day trip. Thiba Palace (built for the exiled king of Burma), along with the several temples and mausoleums, are other places of interest.

Activities: Ratnadurga Fort’s advantageous position at a height that overlooks the sea, gives one an opportunity to see the pretty sight of the sun setting over the horizon. There is also a lighthouse from where one can view the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea.
