Day 1 - Arrival in Leh
After a flight that gives some sensational views of the majestic peaks surrounding the town of Leh on a clear day, arrive at Leh airport. From there, you will be driven to your hotel. Take some time to acclimatize yourself with the high altitude of the town. Later, take a walking tour of the area and get familiarized with the landscape and the local activities. Stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 - Leh - Half day city tour
After breakfast, set out to visit the famous monasteries in the area like Sankar Gompa and Shanti Stupa. Take a tour of the magnificent Leh Palace which was built in the 17th century. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 3 - Leh - Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, we head out for the beautiful town of Shey which was the summer capital of the ancient kingdom of Ladakh. Visit the Shey monastery and palace before going on to tour through the spectacular monastery of Thiksey. Later, drive through the Changla Pass, via Sakti village. Take a tea break in the village of Tangtse and pass through the several hamlets of Changthang before you find the glorious vista of Pangong lake spread out before you. Check in at the camp near the lake and revel in the majesty of raw nature. Dinner and overnight stay is arranged at the camp.
Day 4 - Pangong Lake - Leh
Wake up to a beautiful morning full of the magnificent views at Pangong lake. Bask in the splendor of nature before heading back to Leh. Along the way, visit Hemis Gompa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Upon reaching back at Leh, check in at the hotel where overnight stay is arranged. Stroll through the markets of Leh and splurge in some quick shopping before turning in for the night.
Day 5 - Leh - Departure
Take home some beautiful memories as you say goodbye to the beautiful town of Leh and head to the airport for your onward journey.
